I went to the viewing of our music video with the rest of the years productions at the arts picture house in the city centre. I was happy with our video because it varied a lot form all the other performances. Watching nearly 50 videos which were all pretty much the same. They all were songs which would include instruments such as drums and guitars. It got way too repetitive and boring so when our video came on it had more of an effect on the audience viewing it because it was different and unpredictable. However, seeing all the other videos, our one could have been improved considerably. If we were more organised then we could have took the prject step by step and pased ourselves it would have made it easier.
After staying late for an editing session at college on the night of the deadline, i eventually finished the music video. It took a lot of time and hard work but i got there. from starting the whole video again the previous day i wa sproud that i managed toput together a music video thta i was proud of. All the sequence was lip synched and editing was alright and there was no part when the camera work was terrible. the video suited its genre and would belong on Channel U, which is a music channel for grime, garage and hip hop.
I spoke to the artist i used and said that he was impressed with what we had made and would be more thna happy to upload it on his own myspace page so that other artists and people who have seen the video can comment on it.
- Shots are too long, need more cuts/transitions - Camerawork shaky and, small shot range - Lip synch - out of time(apparantly) - Football does'nt fit with sequence - Performance very good- energetic - Outfit Good - inkeeping --------------------------------- - Good Starting sequence - Not enough shot range - Needs more cuts to the beat
We plan to reshoot the football - at night, so as its more inkeeping and creates a better atmosphere. we need more footage of different scenes . And also video more Rashad performing at different locations. We can easily improve using a still Camera on a stable ground and by shooting more close up panning shots as well as more varied shots. Lip synch is actually okay and easily repairable if there are any faults.
We have to properly edit the footage we have along with any further footage shot between then and now or whenever possible. Right now the video is very rough and needs a lot of work doing to it, but it should be do-able before the deadline.
we can use this idea form Ghetto - Top 3 Selected when his name appears in flames. We would change Ghetto to Trini Boi because that is hte name of the artist. this would have to be in the editing after all shooting is completed.
We are going to use green screen to create the picture that Trini Boi singing over the pictures of the video ,despite having not recorded the party we could use shoot the videeo using pictures on the green screen.

2. You are really going to have to start moving on this project as time is running out
3. The timeline activity next week should act as a kickstart to the project
4. If there are technical things about using the blog or Final Cut that any of you don't know how to do, we need to arrange some extra sessions to get you some tuition.
There is a very low possibility that we are going to be able to record a peroformance live on stage anywhere within the deadline so another possible idea could be to have someone sitting at a computer like in this picture which shows someone making the beat for Put Yo Hands Up which Trini Boy is going to vocal. we will have to have the music making program so we could use Fruity Loops or Cubase.
We could also have Trini Boy in the studio writing lyrics for the song being made. hopefully these shots will make up for not being able to have a live performance.
We can also do a shot like this which would be of Trini Boi actualy recording his song on the newly produced beat in the studio.This is a good idea and will help make up for not having the live performance at a party.
Kano ft. Craig David - This Is The Girl This video has the ideas that I had in mind. One of the idea we had was to have Trini Boy talking to girls trying to get there numbers and just generally talking to them. In the video we see Kano writing lyrics for the song and also we see the beat getting produced in the studio at the same time.

More shots needed and shorter, faster pace shots would be better and do it more justice. The Music is upbeat and lively with good rythm - animatic and ultimately video should reflect this more. Need to cut out lingering shots. Some Shots are too long and and static, 'FEEL THE BEAT', cut more often, but have some good ideas - apparantly. Not clear to some people whats happening the animatic, but has good ideas within and potential. Beginning/opening shot was well liked. Lack of storyline? THATS IT FOR THE MOMENT.
New Pitch - Trini Boiiii - Put Yo Hands Up (Produced By Roger & Mo)
Scenes: We could record the artist performing his song live on stage at a party. there will be loads of people that will fill the building so it looks packed and live. this song would be good for a party scene because the song is called Put Yo Hands Up....would be good if we could get everyone at the party to put there hands up. this would be great for the chorus! We can get the performer to do his song on satge at the Long Road freshers party on the 18th of October. we won't use this footge for the whole song because it will drag on.
We will use the green room to record because we can then use any background we wish and can be very affective. we can use a variety of different scenes for eample streets, bridges, buildings.
The performer would not be shy to dance in front of the camera. he could brake dance or just normally dance with himself or other people.
We could get Rashaad to talk to girls individually as if he was tryna hook up with them. the girls will be smiling and laughing and having a good time.

We can take ideas from this video. there are many different shots used for this video all over cambridge, train station, garages to create a good atmosphere. this makes the video more affective tot he audience by the use of lightin and camera angles used. There are close ups and and panning shots which we could use. Black and white effects where used and putting more than one recoding on one screen. when he talks about shaving and putting clothes on. lights were used to make it look more light nd dark at some times. when he was standing by graffiti the light made Endless look dark but the art on the wall bright.

Aim is to look cool....we will use someone from outside the group to make a performance in our music video. we prefered this song out of the others because it is different and stands out to the other tunes that sound boring and have girls singing which we don't have!
We can look at various hip hop music videos and also students videos from last year etc.
